Lost In Translation

it was very good. it was interesting to see the way they portrayed Japan. i've been to Japan and it looks a lot different in the movie as it does when your actually there. the thing i loved most was the way they showed they're lives outside of their own relationship. the shots and music were amazing. and my favorite part was the photo shoot with bob and his whisky.

My Very Own Memoir

I smell the pasta cooking, the sauce steaming. I hear the waiters screaming at each other in Italian. I try to understand what they're saying, but they're talking as fast as our food is supposed to be coming. Finally the food arrives, pasta of course... We are in Italy. I can taste Italy in this pasta, in the olives and the tomatoes. I'm looking around spying on all the people and waiters in the restaurant, I look out the window and my stomach drops... The one person we don't want to see. The person who we last saw skinny-dipping at 3:00 a.m. in his hotel pool. I was so nervous, I could feel my heart start beating faster and faster... And then he was gone, in 10 seconds.
30 minutes and I had smelt, heard, tasted, looked, saw, and felt. All 5 senses and I just laughed it all off. ;o)

blind or deaf?

Helen Keller once said that if she had to choose between being deaf and being blind, she'd be blind, because while blindness cut her off from things, deafness cut her off from people.

many, many people have asked me this question... and its one of the hardest questions known to man!
if you are deaf you could never hear you child first words.
yet if you were blind you could never see your child.

i disagree with this famous quote. if i had to choose i would pick deaf.
i could ever imagine not seeing the people that i love.

plus there are so many advances right now to help cure deafness (to help you hear.) that even being deaf... isn't being deaf.

there's a huge scandal right now about "Bree" (a.k.a. lonelygirl)
she's a cute little girl (in her 20's) on YouTube.com. she has a camera that she can talk into and a cute little juicer that she makes lemonade from.
"Hi, so I'm up here in my room again, because I'm grounded..."
20 year old girls don't get grounded.
people lie on the internet all the time (you might say), but this lovely girl and some of her friends lied to around 1,000,000 people, hoping they could start an acting career.
well things didn't really work out for them. everyone found out about their lie, mostly because it was on the front page of the NY Times and LA Times.
well it was good while it lasted.

venice beach...

crazy people, lovely people, people you should know about...
a woman in a wheelchair pushing herself with her stiletto shoes probably from Marshals.
a man yelling curse words to himself.
and a sweet man singing a beautiful christmas carrel... "jingle bells, jingle bells, help me yet DRUNK!"
you will always meet crazy people at the venice boardwalk, but thats just the excitement.

this coming school year.

I'll start by saying something Ms. Juanita already knows... when I first saw this sheet (sheets) I almost "shat" myself. I thought to myself this woman is crazy to think that I could possibly read this many books in one year. But we had a talk and now i understand that we are just reading the exerps which i am ok with. ;o)

And now i will talk about the things I have learned and think about this paper that I have.
I would like to learn about Buddha, I would not like to learn about Jesus. But to learn about Buddha and Jesus at the same time I think will be quite interesting.

I love to travel so I'm interested in learning about all the different places in this world and on this paper. I know a little bit about some of them, but I'd like to know more. China, Cuba, Lebanon, Israel. And the newspapers... they may make our hands dirty, but they are very interesting.

And short stories from around the world does interest me. Maybe not right at this moment... but probably when we start reading them.

Italian. Italian. Italian.

Chemistry and Literature Science. Science was always my favorite subject, so it will be interesting to see how this works out.

I loved Art last year, I'm sure i will this year too. Mythology... I don't know much about... And the blogging, I'll get used too.

Math, Money, Harvard.
Math i always hated... but I'll give it my best shot.

hello.

i would like to say hello to everyone who may look at this. this post is my first. this is my first blog. so... hello.
